Since I am waiting for the parts to come back from anodizing, I figured I would post up something helpful:

Phantom and Gargoyle insert removal for custom anodizing:

First off I recommend that you get the inserts from ASP online or if CCi will sell them to you get them from Mike. I only say this based on the fact that once you remove the old inserts the only ones that will work are the original inserts that CCI uses (I used to think that they were helicoils...wrong).

The other thing you are going to need are these:

or these:

For the Phantom/ Gargoyle inserts you will need to use the #1 for the 8-32 inserts and the #3 for the 10-32 inserts. the #1 doesn't need a pre-drill but the #3 need the insert to be drill using the other end of the insert (the spade drill end). Once you have pre-drilled it then use the other end (the spiral end) to pull it out. These drills and spirals are left handed so you will have to run the drill in reverse. If you don't have a reversible drill then you will need to get one. The one I used was a cordless 18V.

Step one: Pre-drill (if needed)

Step two:

Enjoy, happy yanking out your inserts!!

Not sure, I have seen that style referred to as a Mongo CCI feed, (on Paintballgateway) it is sold as a CCI one piece feed, and a duckslide feed. I was lucky enough to find it for sale and snagged it up. Luckly i got it over to Caustic in time to get it run with the rest of the parts.
