Well some of the stories Viper has told about barrel tagging you can't get shooting people. Last I heard his personal best in a couple hours is 50+ (I don't remeber the exact number) eliminations only barrel tagging. I like giving out judge punches to the radio talkers, don't care what they are saying they give the appearance of cheating and that's that.

Didn't get to much into details, just night game, barrel only , busy path and sneakiness.

It should be assumed the dude your tapping is going to shout "out" wicked loud. It's not so much a cheat as it is poor form. It's also why I don't tap unless the dudes are in a fire fight. Despite many peoples "war milsim reninactment" idea of the game it's paintball, and tossing that sort of variable into the mix is part of the game. Personally I wouldn't do it tell I'm a "decent distance" away to avoid bonus balls, As for barrle tapping ridiculous amounts of people in night play I've done it/seen it done as well.

I am not a fan of barrel tagging or surrender. The game is paintball, not barrel knife. The idea is to be eliminated by being marked with a paintball projectile. It is a similar situation to a paintball grenade being thrown at you. The factor that decides whether you go out or not is whether you were sprayed by the paint. Many know that paint grenades are best at being unreliable in their pray pattern and even someone very close has a good chance of "surviving". In the real world a grenade up close is as good as horseshoes. I am of the thought that if you want to be stealthy and creep into a postion where you can take advantage and shoot many players before they know it, good for you. Creeping around and using an improvised elimination method and expecting people not to do what is natural in notifying others that they are "out" seems questionable to me. Once again, it's paintball. |

paint doesn't always break even at 4 ft. even if you shoot the guy 4 times

How you are sent off the field is irrelevant..... If you get shot call your self out and get off the field If you get barrel tagged just quietly walk away If a grenade goes off by you get a ref to check you and you either keep playing or go off the field and get ready to reinsert. If your out stay off the radio till your off the field This is not an opinion or option if it's in the ![]() As I have said before the two biggest problems in Scenario is: a) People not reading the rules and or not understanding them b) lack of refs in general On the first I see more problems with this than anything mainly in the "role play heavy" games. It runs the range for someone shooting or shooting at someone that they shouldn't (choppers) with a paintball gun to out and out screaming cussing matches (one step from a fist fight)! And the second is a hot topic at least in my area, how to get enough refs without everyone getting taken to the cleaners. From a producers standpoint they are trying to make a living doing what they do but in most cases they want to put on the best game they can but can't afford to "pay" people to ref so they use comps, or other non-cash payments..... from a players point would you want to have to pay an extra 20 or 30 bucks to cover the cost of paying a ref staff....and on this what would it do to the game....lower player count due to increased cost.... I mean think about it, your favorite game might go from 300 players to 100....would that be as much fun? It would mean smaller prize package as they are based on player count. It might mean higher paint prices to cover overhead for the paint distributor! It is a balancing act that can be hard to maintain. If anyone has any solution to this latter point I would love to hear it! So I pose this question how would be the best way to ensure that there are enough refs at a game? Sorry if this seemed to turn into a rant of sorts but it is a sore spot with me!

| Purify with flame | I notice very few people STFU after being out anymore, radio or not. I routinely am taking my stroll back to the box with peeps asking 'where are they", I say 'I'm out', 'hi', or nothing anymore. But other players on both sides, not a game goes by I dont hear the radio chatter or verbal communication between the eliminated and life about on-field happenings. furthermore, it goes beyond that, commanders and players will be OFF FIELD and working radios while they get air, repair stuff, eat lunch, communication and armchair quarterbacking. I feel this practice is impossible to eliminate, and it's becoming more a can't beat em join em circumstance.

I believe that Viper's current rule on the matter is that if you're eliminated, you can't use your radio while onfield. When off field, you can. Kind of like having a UAV or Satelite imagery of the area you left. If the situation is that static that you communicating what happened at a particular part of the field and those people are still there.... something probably isn't being done correctly by the other side (missions aside). I do agree, though, that it ideally shouldn't be allowed, but there's no way to enforce that rule. What's to say someone isn't locked in an RV with a full set of scanners, battle map, and several note pads keeping track of everything? Who would be the wiser if that person never left the camper?
