The swastika in the context of the Nazis means one thing and once again, it's all well and good that it's banned from EMR here and now but it's still just a symbol. It only means what it's attached to. It's good to remember that it's the ideology that's bad, not a collection of lines arranged in a certain way.

It's not the symbol that's being banned, it's what it represents in context.

Sorry Jaan, I guess I misinterpreted your objection. Either way, I don't think the offensive nature of the symbol is felt until it's laid out in black and red in the manner used by the NAZIs. Most occurances of the Sanskrit symbol are different enough that they don't compel that same feeling (At least for me)

When I see This or This I don't think of the Holocaust or Nazi Germany...

So In effect I do think there is a separation of the Horrors of Nazi Germany and the centuries of Non-Nazi use of the symbol.

And therein lies the ultimate point to all of this. Anyone who flies the swastika at a WWII scenario event is most likely not promoting Hinduism or the study of ancient societies.
