November 22, Battle of BAstogne, High Energy Paintball, Amsterdam NY

November 22nd, 2009 , High Energy Paintball presents
5th annual "Battle of Bastogne"

The deep sounds of artillery shells echo threw the forest. The Battle of Bastogne Begins. The Americans are dug in, tight and tough, in and around the small village of Bastogne . Their mission is critical; they must stop the armored push of The Nazi's. The weather is brutally cold, supplies are dwindling, and the defenders are vastly outnumbered. One long cold day follows another. American forces will continually attempt to transport provisions into beleaguered comrades. The Germans will mount a sustained and furious attack. YOU HAVE TO BE THERE!!!

The sides are evenly matched for the duration of the game. The allied mission is to stand off the German advance until reinforcements can arrive. Advancing and taking hold of key locations pushing the Germans back for as long as possible. The German mission is the last great counter offensive, meant to break apart and defeat the Allied forces. Launching a surprise attack on the Western Front through the thinly held line in the Belgian Ardennes Forest .

Andddd, I'll be cooking burgers and dogs for y'all during the lunch break. As if playing paintball wasn't enough of a reward

Mission #1...(2.5 hours )
"Re-enforcements and Supplies"
With critical American supplies dwindleing , and the Germans attacking with artillary from both the east and western fronts , Americans will need to re-supply Bastogne with medical supplies and ammunition (supply crates) without losing control of the town's 5 supply buildings.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE for the Americans will be to break through enemy lines and get supply crates from their base into 5 designated supply buildings in the town and maintain control of these supply buildings for the duration of the 2 hour mission.
* Each of the 5 designated buildings containing a supply crate at the end of the mission is worth 200 points for the Americans.
* Any designated supply building that has not been re-supplied at end of mission will be worth 200 points for the Germans...(Germans may intercept and steal supply crates at any time during the mission once they leave the American base )
* 5 supply buildings will be designated by a blue X on all 4 sides
*1000 points total available to either team in mission #1

Mission #2 (2.5 hours)
"Counter Offensive"

After surviving the initial artillary barages and attacks on Bastogne,...The American re-enforcements arrive and prepare to defend and hold Bastogne at all costs.
The Germans begin their counter offensive with the town completely surrounded and must not stop until Bastogne falls and the Allies most critical supply hub in Europe belongs to Germany.

*PRIMARY OBJECTIVE for both teams is to have control of as many of the towns 24 buildings flagstations as possible at the end of the game.
*100 points per flagstation
*2400 points total available to either team in mission#2

BONUS POINTS
*Americans will earn 200 bonus points each for finding 3 wounded and disabled soldiers (dummies) in enemy territory and transporting them back to their base for medical treatment.

*Germans will earn 200 bonus points each for a direct hit artillary strike on any 3 buildings in Bastogne....( artillary round must land inside the buildings and you cannot hit the same building more than once)

*** A total of 600 bonus points are available to each team for the duration of the game.

HEP field standard rules will be used for Tank, AT weapons, and Field Artillary for this game.
