Northern GA, SC Area -
Just got a note from Jessica Sparks, long time PB player, writer,
advocate, asking if I knew anyone from Northern GA, SC area
who was either looking for a ride, or with space? I suggested
she post here and a few other places, but I figured I'd see if I
could speed things up. Anyone with room, or looking for a ride
is asked to let me know ASAP.

Thanks!

The first event takes place this coming Monday, June 10th.

BTW, there's still time to get registered for the unit of your
choice and avoid paying the higher entry fee. If you'd like
to join us, either give them a call or jump over to their
website - D-Day Adventure Park | Home of the World's Largest Paintball Event

Angela Lenz, German Forces

On the road to D-Day........are we there yet?

Colt Phoenix Dickerson, CEF

Is there going to be a pinup girl contest this year at D-Day?
If so, I'll be bringing some pinup costumes if any ladies would
want to borrow them for the contest. I'll have a retro dress,
retro one piece swimsuit and three military themed pinup
outfits. The only thing you'll need to provide is shoes. PM
me if you're interested or take a look at Irish Lens Photography
and you can see a couple of the outfits in my Pinups and Paintball
album. I'll also be taking pre-orders at D-Day for the 2014
Pinups and Paintball Calendar.

Cheers!

Roy Burger

No matter what side ya'll choose to play, I hope everyone has
a safe drive.

Jack Wolf, 899th TDB

Wishing not only my team 'The Bad Monkey' a safe trip but
to all brother and sisters on there way to D-Day drive safe.

Trey Irby
This is going to be the first year they have 2 mini games per
day, which is going to be awesome... tiring, but awesome. I'm
a bit older, so I'll forego the games on Friday to prepare for
Saturday, but they are all fun. V2 Event is a pretty compact
area, so there's lots of action. Operation Sea Lion is very
cathartic for the 1st ID. Bottom line is you can't go wrong...
just budget your paint so you don't run out by Saturday.

Caleb Zitek, CEF

Me and my dad are leaving on Sunday and will be there Monday.
Looking forward to this year as it may be my last. next year, I'm
joining the Army as an 89D (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) the
guys who blow up IED's. I am excited but i will miss coming. The
CEF will always have a special place in my heart. LETS MAKE IT A
KICK *** YEAR

HUZZAH!!!!!!

Chris Neighbors

I woke up this morning jittery, feeling like I had some place to be...
then I realized it was because DDAY is ONLY 6 DAYS, 16 HOURS,
55 MINUTES and 10 SECONDS AWAY!!!!

Remember, there's still time to join these folks. Don't be the one
who has to read about it, be there and make some history of your
own!

Field report 1

I'm going to try and keep everyone who visits this forum updated on what's
happening out at the field. In order to do this I'm counting on those of you
who are there to post your updates to your Facebook page and I'll repost
them here as they come in. Here's what I've captured overnight.

As predicted it looks like
it's going to be another very hot and humid week. If you
are still en route, or planning to arrive later, be sure you
put down the soda and start drinking more water and be
sure to bring at least a case or two along with you.

Field Report #1

Travis Posey

Monday T.O.G. - Battle for Caen:
This was a game of capture and change the flag (2 color PVC
pipe on a t-post). They had 5 flags 3 in the middle of Caen
spread around and 1 within 80 feet of respawn. Game on the
Commonwealth Forces hard charged the left flank while the
82nd hard charged the right flank. Results we took the city
in record time, capturing all flag stations within 5 minutes.
We repelled multiple German counter attacks and pushed
them back to their flag. Game was reset after 30 minutes.

Game 2. The Germans got their act together and advanced
more quickly occupying the whole of Caen. 82nd AB again
maneuver up the east flank and broke through their lines
and got in behind the Germans and it was quick clean up.

After another hour, everyone was tired and hot and low on
logistics (paint/air/water) and there were no more Germans
to shoot. They called the game.

82nd AB performed outstanding. Firing and maneuvering
and securing our objectives. So pumped this year and so
excited about the rest of you coming out.

Its going to be tough for the Germans this year having to
deal with us!

Field report 3

D-DAY FIELD UPDATE, DAY 3

Travis Posey Commanding General, 82nd Airborne Division.

Airfield Game Tuesday AM - This was a game of take as much ground
as you can, drive the other team off the field and you win. The 82nd
AB and 101 AB made up the bulk of the Allies and we faced off against
a hand full of Germans and the Commonwealth. It was an even match
of 60 vs 60 which made the airfield a ton of fun and not to crowded.

We started at the North end of the airfield and the plan was set, 82nd
take left, 101 take right everyone else up the middle. The 82nd faced
off directly with the Common Wealth. We pushed our side hard and
after a very hard fought battle we drove them back to their base and
the refs declared us the victors!

Game 2 - Reset the game and switch sides. Almost everyone on our
side was either out of paint or down to a hopper full. 82nd moved back
to their ..side of the field and again pushed ferociously. The story of
this game was Sheldon Rachuk finally got a hopper that would work
(rotor). He single handedly pushed up the middle to the large shockcrete
building completely occupied by the Germans. Breached the building shot
a 5 year old in the chest at point blank and barrel tagged 4 others before
being eliminated. Very epic! One of the dirty half dozen, female player,
also was fearless and charged the Germans leading the way. Asia, in the
505th also lead the charge from the front lines.

Basically the story of the week so far has been any time I look to the
front lines the 82nd AB is there taking ground! HUAGH!!!

Airborne All the Way!!!

Pumped to get out there with the 507th for Friday and Saturday games!

To my Bulldog brothers and sisters. I deeply regret not being able to
be there with you this year. Honestly, June is always the best month
of the year for me specifically because I get to spend my time with
such bad *** and awesome people. But, this year it is not in the cards
for me. I will see you all in 2014. In the meantime, as 1 LT (ret.),
I still expect my scalps. Good luck, and be safe Bulldogs. I love you!
THE HAPPA!

Pretty sure 5 year old kids aren't allowed to play. That being said, how is it very epic to shoot someone young enough to be mistaken for a 5 year old at point blank range?

I'm sure you're correct, they do not allow 5 year olds to take part.
That said, I also doubt that regardless of how old he may be that
there was any intent to shoot at such close range on the part of
the shooter. Haven't you ever found yourself in a similar situation,
either as a shooter of someone or as the target of a close shot?
Keep in mind, this apparently occured in the process of trying to
clear a maze like structure, not in an open area.
