Back in WW II, not long after the Germans overran France and the rest of Western Europe they looked across the English Channel and set their sights on one last holdout, England. The plan was simple, bomb the country into submission then launch a seaborn invasion. That plan was called 'Operation Sea Lion.' The thing is they never launched that invasion and the following clip shows why. Out at D-Day they flip-flop everyone's roles during one of the mini events. Instead of the allies attacking they let them defend and it's the Germans who get tasked with taking the beach. Of course after all the pounding the Allies have taken over all the years who wouldn't want to pass up a chance for some payback and so lets face it, it takes a lot of guts to face a crowd like that so I tip my hat to those Germans who had the guts to even try. Maybe 2013 is the year they'll come up with more players and a better plan and pull off a win. That'd sure send a message and also be something to see. Here's a music video featuring some footage of last year's 'Operation Sea Lion.' Oklahoma DDay 2012 Operation Sea Lion Music Video - YouTube

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Want to see what playing with members of the 82nd Airborne Division from D-Day is like, then join them for this event- 82nd AB and the Drifters PB team are heading to this scenario on March, 16th for their first game of 2013, 'Road to Stalingrad,' being held at Adventure Zone Paintball, Guthrie, KS. The event is $25 and paint prices are $45, $55 and $65. We will be rolling as Americans and Team Bad Juju, out of Kansas will be generaling our side. They played with us at Red Dawn in October and they were the crazy ones that carried our mobile respawn to the middle of the bridge... Lets rally out there around 8AM. This will be my third year running with the 6th. I’ve played allied and German and if you’re looking for a group that plays honorable, organized and aggressive paintball then this is the unit for you. The purpose of this unit on game day is to be used as a reactionary unit. Because of the extreme nature of our tasks, to play with this unit means you will be tested physically and mentally. We are not sitting back and playing long ball. You will frequent the dead box and have a great time doing so. Whether you’re a scenario or speedball player, whether you come alone or as part of a team you should consider joining in the 6th FJR. |

Speaking of the German's 6th FJR, here's a look at what D-Day looked like from the air when several members of that unit took a helicopter flight last year. Oklahoma D-Day 2012 helicopter ride, 6th FJR - YouTube Enjoy!

My group has all played 82nd AB 325th from our first D-Day. I will tell you this though, the one thing that makes D-Day so different is the heat and duration of the game. There are no breaks in the game on the main Saturday game. Make sure and I mean everything in your power to be in the best shape for the game you can be. if you're from Texas you know what heat is but I'm from Tulsa and lived here my whole life, my first year i nearly died. literally and im not in bad shape just unprepared. carry only what you need and dress cool, with plenty of water. very important to have a hydration system.other than that the game is the best I've ever been in and there is nothing like playing on 1,000 acres with a few thousand players fighting all over it at the same time. in the 82nd you will get to see most of the field, we travel a lot and fight very hard. join us and you wont regret it. 325th is the greatest bunch you could play with. 2010 82nd Airborne, 325th G.I.R, sierra company 2011 82nd Airborne, 325th G.I.R, sierra company 2012 82nd Airborne, 325th G.I.R, sierra company Goog |

| Active Member | 508th PIR ![]() Join the 508th PIR 82nd Airborne--Fury from the Sky! The 508th PIR of the 82nd airborne is a new regiment for the 2013 DDAY. The team that have been chosen to run it, Armor Up Paintball, are a great group of guys. This group of guys have been in the front lines the past 3 D-DAY events and were a force to be reckoned with, we intend to be on the front lines and in the thick of "battle" again this year and every year we attend. Our main goal is to have fun at these events not so much the marching and "military" part. With that said though we play serious and definitely want to win. If you need a regiment to join and want to have fun send me a note and I'll give you more info and put you in the 508th PIR Facebook group so you can get to know everyone before the games start. Looking forward to meeting you and defeating the Germans again this year! |

Are you still recruiting sniper teams? Now that first strikes are permitted I might be interested in making the event.
