West Coast Pump Weekend 2008

West Coast Pump Weekend

August 2nd & 3rd, 2008

It was so much fun last time that we thought we'd do it again. TNT Paintball will be hosting the second West Coast Pump Weekend (WCPW) this coming August long weekend. WCPW in its simplicity is designed to bring together pump paintball players to a common place to share good times and the passion for our game.

Saturday will feature a fun 3-man speedball tournament. There will be no prizes other than some simple plaques for the winners and runner-ups. Those that choose not to take part in the 3-man speedball tournament are welcome to play recreational paintball on TNT Paintball's 5 themed playing fields.

Late afternoon on Saturday, after the 3-man speedball tournament is over, there will be a pump skills competition. The day will conclude with a BBQ dinner and informal socializing.

Sunday will consist of purely recreational pump only paintball games on all of TNT's fields. Nothing complicated. Just fun!

Camping will be available on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday night (for those not wishing to rush off right after Sunday's playtime).

In order to help us properly plan for the event we strongly urge participants to pre-register.
The pre-registration deadline is July 19th, 2008.

To see how much fun it will be, you can check out a small gallery of pictures from last years event. Or just ask someone who was there !

For the full details and always up-to-date information, visit the WCPW Web Page.

Last year's WCPW was excellent. I look forward to smacking some islanders around.

I got all excited until I realized it's the West Coast of Canada.

I can't wait to smack some BC'ers again. Alberta pwn's BC anyday

Wickedly excited for this again. Going to try and bring out the whole crazyness of team B!ank! And bring out most of the collection too; I felt ill equiped last year after Phantom Power brough out the Vector and KP2's.

Also hopefully will have the stock class lender fleet ready for some serious action. 007's anyone??

Looking for all Canadians on MCB, building a list by province. PM me to be added to the list.

Man. If you would've only posted this a month ago... I need more than 7 months notice.

Too bad it's Canada.

Can't be that far a drive?? It's a great event to attend if you can Hurtcow... Well worth the 14 hour adventure drive for us!!

Edit: WCPW would not have been the same without corn!

This however is the same weekend as the Pump Pandemonium at EMR. I suppose that I am one of the very few that go to PP that would also be willing to go to British Columbia so I guess it really doesn't matter.

Do I play PP for the fifth time or try a new field in a province that I haven't played in before?

Yes, I'm aware that this does fall on the same dates as Pump Pandemonium. It did last year as well (after PP changed dates). However, we still go with it because that weekend works really well for us, and EMR is over 5000km away from us so the amount of people (other than Weltman) who will be forced to choose one or the other would be fairly slim.

Perhaps in future years if both events get big enough that there is conflict of interest for lots of people we'll think about changing it...
