We're still looking for dedicated players and teams to join the 899th! Join us in our 2nd year as we are one of the newest units and we exceeded our expectations in 2007. D-Day is less then 4 months away now and units are filling up quickly. Sign up and reserve your spot in the unit of your choice.

Only about 2 weeks left before unit pre-registration ends for OK D-Day. After that you will only be able to choose which side you wish to join and not which unit. So decide to come now and join up for one of the toughest and best units at Oklahoma D-Day: the 899th BlackCats!

If you have questions or comments, please feel free to PM me.

Hey Hurricane,

If you want to be able to pick your unit at OK D-Day, then you are going to have to register by April 1st in order to be able to select the 899th. After April 1st, unit selection ends and you will only be able to pick which side you want to join (i.e. Allies or Germans) and then the Bunker staff will place you where you are needed.

So that gives you a little over 2 weeks in order to register. Better get on it soon!

Cut off dates

No one knows for sure when the cut off date is,
but it's generally been around 1 April. After that
you can still 'request' the unit you wish to be
assigned to, but there's assurance you'll get it.
They typically tend to assign you to the unit of
your choice so long as it's not full, so the odds
are you'll get you wish. After May 1st, the odds
get even longer as that's suppsoed to be the cut
off date for picking which side you want to be
assigned to. The last few weeks are always a
madhouse with lots of folks trying to make it
before they raise the cost, so take my advice
and get signed up as soon as possible.

There are only a couple of allied units which are
now closed. They don't include the 2nd Armor,
either Airborne Division, the 899th black Cats,
Free French, or either the 1st or 4th ID. Just
keep in mind that you MUST be 15 years old if
you wish to join either of the two Airborne
Units, or the three Ranger outfits. For a full
list of units, what they do, their history and
so forth go to this webpage -

The Bunker Extreme, Army Surplus, Oklahoma

There you'll find three pages full of units as well as
some details about each of them.

Any questions, either about a unit, joining up, or
anything else to do with what's happening during the
week leading up to the main event, either drop me a
note or give my office a call anytime betwen 0600-
1930 eastern daylight time.

Sincerely,

Brigadier General Andy Van Der Plaats
