Well after all my Loud Mouther Bragging... it looks like I'm out. Had something already planned with my dad, family and friends for that weekend that Suz and I forgot about.

I might be able to make it down for just saturday but the chance of that is slim to none... so someone else has to be Good Ash.

Sorry guys.. was really looking forward to this one.

I love scenario games. I hated "Pyrate's Revenge" but I didn't hate it because it was a scenario. This example was overly complex and had a list of reasons that turned it into a cluster -of which we don't need to re-hash. I think the flag running get a little stale year after year. I'm going to support Brimstone in his efforts to produce a simple Scenario. I even volunteer for Ash although I would rather have Schmitti there.

Thanks bro... but it doesn't look like it will happen Trying to look through the various field calenders this morning to see about another game to attend.. maybe EMR's Fort Worr... but we'll see.

I think one of the problems with some scenarios is that they can be overly complex (GOD DAMN BOATS) and a way around it would be to have kind of a peer review by folks that are not going to attend.... so have another player read through the scenario and "play" it through to make sure it will go well. Be the editor of the thing so that when the players hit the field it won't be a mess.

Just some thoughts for moving forward.

I play about ten to twelve scenario games a year. I must say. 99 percent of them go off without a hitch. Such as the Legends of paintball game last weekend. Everyone had tons of fun. If you remember, the first Pandamonium was a scenario. I played on the loosing side and everybody had a load of fun. Don't let the following year's cluster ruin the idea of scenario games for any you.

They're also letting last months March Meltdown(also a pirate game, also a cluster-ef) ruin them. But Weltman's right. scenarios aren't typically like that. The problem with pirate games is the boats restrict movement. If you can't run around and shoot people, what fun is it? I played a few scenarios in the last couple years, and they're usually a blast. Folks who want to roleplay or run missions can do so, folks who want to just play paintball can have a target rich environment. Basicaly, as long as the rules don't interfer with normal paintball then its all good.

No boats, if you shoot someone their out. There are going to be a few simple missions about one an hour. There will also be two flags, they will be set away from the base as to not encourage shooting of dead players. There will be a final battle, and a one hour lunch break. I still need an Ash. as well there is not going to be an official mcb or scp team, either join evil ash or regular ash. fields will be posted at a later date, don't worry no hills except i want to do the final battle in the fire base. More than likely the game will be played from the tower in the airfield to the way end of castle boneheads.

Cast my vote for some different fields for this game. Give us games in Tippytown, the Castle and some of the upper fields, if possible.

I, for one, feel like we have played practically all of the the recent "scenario" games at EMR on basically the same fields over and over.

Good luck with the K.I.S.S. concept, Brimmy.

What is an ASH, evil or otherwise?

D.
