I am up in the air for this one. I can get the time off from work but I just put an offer on a house. If the house thing works out this will be a no go. With all the $ that has to be laid out at closing + the price of gas there is no way I can afford to make it out to this game or any game at EMR this year.
Brim just make sure any rules you have for the game are posted well in advance. This was a big issue with II, sure it was complex but if the rules had been posted so people could learn them it would have been better.

how about using the same layout as PP1, and keeping most of the missions in the forest?

I like the idea of set piece battles among the larger scenario. As an addition to running missions, you could set up little showdowns around the campus.

I remember they ran some like that with some success when they ran that Shatner circus through EMR.

Believe me, Brim, I get that you are a volunteer, but relax. I am not criticizing you or your efforts. I am just curious why it seems so rare that the Tippmann town field in particular never seems to be incorporated into any scenarios aside from Castle or as a base that never sees any action.

As for August heat and no shade... folks have a tendency to fight for and in shade and will stay away from the ridiculous sun, especially if the open fields are not "worth" anything to hold on to. I care not for that firebase at the top of the hill, especially if the sun is beating down.

Basically, I think it would be fun to try and incorporate a Tippytown battle and/or maybe a Castle vs. Tippytown battle. Plenty of shade, not too much climbing, fun in the buildings, etc., etc....

You could run every single other aspect across the usual fields and then just throw in a battle or two up in the town, etc.

It's all I am saying.

Tippy Town would be fun. I remember playing the fields "up top" during PPII and the sun exposure had many of us "sapped" by 1 to 2 in the afternoon. Granted, that was a very hot day. Consider playing from Tippmann Town and above in the AM and then in the shadier areas after that? I know it's difficult to incorporate all this into the play.

Also, starting before 10:00 would help with the summer heat too.

Brim, just a quick question. With a season pass, you just call in to pre reg, and the 500 rounds is included?
