| Rec Poster Join Date: Jan 2008 | The Women Of D-Day 1 - Those female players who are registered for the 2008 game are cordially invited to attend the Women of D-Day Media Event on Friday, June 13th at 0800. This invitation is extended to all Axis and Allied female players. We will meet under the D-Day arch. There we will be photographed and interviewed by the representatives of the differing paintball publications. With training occurring for both sides at 0900, this must occur in an efficient manner - Please arrive on time. 2 - Those women, both Allied and Axis, who are interested in contributing to the Women Of D-Day Paintball Calendar please contact the representative for your 'side'. Banshee for the Allied, myself for the Axis. Please note that there may be more women than months available; each side has 6 months of the year. Be prepared to 'buddy up' for your particular photo shoot. Participants will be required to sign a modeling release/waiver giving all rights of the photos taken to Dewayne Convirs, who will ultimately decide which pictures are used in the calendar. Just because your picture is taken does not guarantee inclusion. All outfits and props are the responsibility of the model. Please remember that this is a family-friendly paintball calendar. While we are confident that the many vendors present will be happy to lend a prop or two for this event, be prepared to use your own gear. Photo shoots will occur on Thursday and Friday at differing times taking advantage of the best natural light possible. Exact photo shoot times and locales will be coordinated with the photographers, the Allied or Axis representatives and the models. Thank you for understanding that this is being done on a volunteer basis by the photographers who already have a hectic schedule. When they have the time for us we will be sure to be ready. Photographers are Gary Baum of PaintballPhotography.com, Rich Struth of PBJunkie.com and Brad Armstrong of WedPics. We are currently badgering the TRUE women of D-Day to be on this year's cover: Mom, Courtney, Peggy & Kathy. Please let them know how much we really, really want them on the cover!! I am also going to make the suggestion that the cover for the following year be determined by the winner of the previous year: The 2010 calendar cover will sport the group photo of the side who wins the 2009 game. |

| Rec Poster Join Date: Jan 2008 | Why do we want a paintball calendar? This calendar represents The Women Of D-Day wanting to help a little girl. A little girl who will hopefully become a woman one day. These pictures are for her. Who is this little girl? Her name is Lauren, she is 8 years old and she has leukemia. September 27th - Lauren's Medical Fund Lauren is the daughter of one of our D-Day players, Grifter. With your help, we hope to have her in the calendar in the near future. |
