On the Bright jersey thing...Hell half our team (well a significant portion) wears bright blue and red jerseys. The center of the chest has a red circle looks kinda like a bullseye from the distance =P Others of us wear Hawaiian shirts. A few wear Kilts, one gal wears a Mini skirt and on occasion corsets. Others wear what ever the heck they feel like. Scrap Iron there once wore a fake Bear Fur cape and a Viking helmet for a game. Hell if the wife will ever let me get away with it I will be eviscerating 90+% of the stuffed animals in the house and turning them into a cloak to wear on the field.

I know orange has always been a standard for reffs, and is widly accepted amongst the PSP and NPPL leagues also. There has only been one field that has said no to our yellow jerseys.

I was going to comment on the "boxer shorts" post, but then this one caught my attention. Please elaborate and support with pictures...

Who doesn't belong at scenario games? Anyone who thinks wiping is ok. Anyone. Period. I don't care if your play in the woods or the inflated forest.....you cheat, get the hell out!

Other than that, it's a game. People come out to enjoy recreation. If you don't like the run-n-gunners then outwit or outplay them. It's really that simple. I read the article too (surprise) and if someone wants to come out to a field to just mow faces, my train of thought is that I'll just show up with a larger mower. I play for a fairly large team, with a growing list of sponsors (both partial and full..."real" full) but every member of our team can role play their butts off AND complete missions, or several of our team members (like myself) luv to be up front taking heads or fighting off attacks while outnumbered and several of our team will lie in the bushes for hours, picking off groups of people as they come through the brush.

If you want to compete and be competitive, be well rounded. If you want to keep the field free of run-n-gunners, ain't gonna happen.....unless you literally keep the field free by mowing them. That, I think is the future of scenario.......being well-rounded. Be a team who can step into a Producer's game where role-playing will win the day. Be a team who can step into a Big Game where a Rambo-like body count brings home the "W". Most importantly, be a team who can bring a sense of "give 'em hell" mixed in with a great sense of fun and enjoyment of the game.

Don't be a team who complains and whines. Don't be a team who darn near goes to blows because "I know I got you out player!! You're wiping" and the whole time that person had a medic back there, or your shots simply bounced. Lastly, don't be a team of wipers! I don't advocate anything unsafe or overshooting but the laws of causality clearly state that if A. Getting shot causes you to walk off the field and B. You don't walk off the field when shot that C. You will be shot some more until you D. Do walk off the field or a ref punches your card. Hopefully the latter before the former.

The article was penned by someone who uses the pseudonym "The Hunter" and was in an issue of Jungle Magazine somewhere between January and now. I'm on the road right now and won't be back until Saturday to look through my back issues and give you an exact issue #/date.

Edit:
Thanks Bret
