Sorry to hear that Harbinger, ....

Reminder to all that Today August 15th, 2008 is the last day to have your pre-registration (postmarked). Then the prices go up from 40$ to 50$ on registration and 60$ to 70$ on the paint. hope to see a few Hawiian prints running about creating chaos on field.

Ok, so first off reminding everyone that this game is in 11 days register now or feel free to show up at the door (cost is 50$ reg., 70$ case/paint). go here for event info

The other announcement is that we will be having some Texans coming up to Illinois for this event. Trips (formerly Head/Ultimate Ref of MXS) is bring a few of his Texas Rangers and some other friends up to the event. So if you always wanted a chance to shoot next too, shoot at him or just yell Penguins at the 50... this former Zebra will be available.

see you at the field,
dead possum

getting all my gear boxed up tonight since I've got a busy week

I just gave blood today so I earned my 1/2 day of vacation to use on Friday, so I should get to the field around 5~ish maybe sooner.

Hope to see some fellow MCB members at the game. Feel free to stop by the CPF camp for a beer (assuming you're of age) and to chat and such.
We usually camp close to the chronograph.

Everyone drive safe, hope to see you there.

um lets see; creek was running about 4ft plus higher then normal resulting in some bridges going under water. but on friday afternoon (24hr prior) it was at standard/typical depth (1ft).... so yes lots of water. the sad/funny thing was seeing the Texans that came up for the event find out that their home town was under 3ft water and was out of power for 2-6 weeks... and then go out an play like all was well.

it was fun, all attenders played a great game. lots of prizes given, had a poker turney. meet many new faces and yes have a few good stories to add to the books, they are better told (reading is not the same). And I finally get to meet a Amoryl, after crossing paths here on MCB for many a moon.

again thanks to the crazy players that didnt let rain get in the way of having fun playing paintball.

I'd like to add my "thank you"s and I'll post a few pictures later when my camera's battery is recharged.

Thanks to all of the players who turned out to brave the rains and make the event such a success. You guys really demonstrated that when life gives you lemons you take em and you boil em off in a still and make some booze out of it.

Thanks to Lucky 7 for giving scenario players a pay day. (the free swag and prizes were mighty plentiful)

Thanks to the Realms of Ruin staff, especially the refs who braved the soggy conditions, and Steve for bringing the tornado down on the Double A ranch.

Thanks to Marshall from the Liberators; for keeping the Purple Foot Tribe gainfully employed.
On a similar note I'd like to thank Rocky for Mooby.

And lastly, a big Thank You to my brothers from the Purple Foot Tribe. I have never had so much fun, and I eagerly await the 2009 season so we can ride out on the war path once again.

Good Times, Bad Weather. Thanks to all involved for the Steve, Red Dog, Dead Possum, Marshall, Rocky and everyone else.

I have to say the highlights of the weekend for me were telling family and friends when they were talking about the weather that I was out Playing Paintball / camping in it, and Receiving an award.

PS. CPF we have to complete our plan for our version of the final battle sequence some time. :]
