I appreciate the feelings some have for Skirmish USA in terms of safety but I do not want this to become a "Bash Skirmish" thread. Thank you.

Why not?

Dont oppress us man, we can bash skirmish if we want to.

The more people know how bad the safety (or rather the lack of safety) is at Skirmish the better.

The outright blatant cheating, the insider wankerism, the burning tents (lit by fireworks) and much much more stupidity all add the the experience that is known as skirmish.

Well, there are a few reasons.

1. Skirmish has made a few efforts to improve the safety in the last few games that have been played there since last year's ION and with the cap of 3000 players this year (that has been enforced so far) it shows that they are taking steps to ensure player safety.

2. Even though some from MCB do not go to Skirmish, there are some that do. This is a thread about ION 08, not the past.

I can understand if you disagree with me but we do not want this section to become full of threads that are full of field bashing.
If you want please pm me.

I get what you are saying, Sloonan and it's not without merit. However, just saying that Skirmish/ION is improving is of little worth until they actually do so.

Next year, when this thread comes up again, there will hopefully be a number of posters who can say, with some authority, that ION 2008 was better and safer and so forth.

People who feel so inclined as to describe their personal experiences are not "bashers" just because that personal experience was sub par. That is like calling a reviewer who finds fault with a particular product in a published review "anti-industry".

That people have been there and have had a negative experience is no fault of theirs, rather the problem is Skirmish's.

Cheers,
D.

I'm guessing at least 1000 will be walk ons. I was told that it was sold out but people are still able to register. How does that work?

I think you just like to go to Skirmish because you are not having any fun unless you are complaining about something. Where better than Skirmish for that?

Drum. baby. It was said in Jest. I should have added a smiley at the end of that. Besides I pretty much state I would not be go if my team was not to go. Quite frankly, the minute someone does something stupid, I think they deserve the punishment of whatever it is. besides, I don't complain I just voice opinion. If I really hated you I would just post pics of my daughter and not "Not Drum Safe" it the title. That would be hate

Seeya in the middle.
