Hi,

If one was to believe that Skirmish is going to honor the cap and actually make strides in safety, they should look at it with a lot of caution. I have seen Skirmish bring out some of the real worst in player due to the format provided. If anyone goes to Skirmish, they should think of safety for themselves. With that said.

I am going to Skirmish with my local store group. If I see more refs, better safety measures in place, and actually less players, I will be very surprised and shocked at the same time. When I say safety measures I am speaking about real use of the chrono, more refs, better medical attention on the field, more access to the real people who can make a decision. Last year's event more or less reminded me a big version of an outlaw ball game not an organized field. Last year, any real field would have shut that game down in the morning when all the real issues where happening. Hell the field could not get a cease fire during an injury break! They should have said, there is an injury we are stopping play. We rather have you pissed at us but come back in one piece the next time. In other words, who knows what will happen this coming weekend. If Skirmish makes in roads to appeal to more safe practices I think that will bring in a few more people to the game.

As for the cap, I will believe it when I see it. If Skirmish turns people away at the door, that will be a first. I think the lowering of the pre reg numbers just makes people have to pay a higher price for admission. Skirmish does not want to turn away money. Hopefully, I will have some photographic evidence in hand for the turnaways That also goes for the refs and other supposed safety measures.

Actually they did, I was there for it. A bunch of a-hole Allied players thought it was a fake out. Yeah guys, the REFS are lying to you. That kid who just face-planted on a log is totally not hurt.

That incident last year was discussed in great detail following the game and the rules this year should state that if a Ref blows his whistle, all players in the area are to plug/bag their barrels and take a knee. Hopefully this was added. I'll be checking to see if the suggestions myself and others made last summer were upheld.

If I see money exchanging hands at the check in pavilion, we'll know if Skirmish is really going to uphold its cap.

Yeah, I know..."Winters on here to pimp Skirm" Nope. Thats for you to decide.

The ****in Rockstar Guntechs are, once again, available for all of you.

as for the game, make you own opinion, BUT, be WELL educated. If ya aint there chum, dont post.

We made tons of improvements, rules, and overall attitude changes. How do I know? Because I was in on most of them.

Dont wanna go? Fine, dont. I totally respect that. Just dont slam this year until its over and done.

Hey Winter, What's up?

You keeping your bic to Paul's butt? That's great to hear.

Good luck this year and I really hope everything works out for you guys.
Here's what I am thinking though... wouldn't hiring a bunch more refs and then training them be more cost effective than a player cap?

I am all for a small number of bodies for you all to deal with, but is there such a thing as a paintball event that is too big? Have you guys found that magic number?

Well, anyway, cheers.

Drum

I will be watching the threads. Be well.
