I strongly suggest not cutting the rail down this...

I strongly suggest not cutting the rail down this far, Ive noticed some flex, this is an ongoing project, the open side of the rail will be closed in with another piece once its made making it ridgid...

Just chop the front of the rail off with the asa if your going for a sydarm type air system (12g on top) i found a much easier way to do it.

you have to loosen the two small set screws...
