Ok so I put a couple drops through the asa and cocked the gun before screwing the tank on. Now the gun does not have the hammer flying back and forth but the gas is still venting from the inside....

Alright thanks a lot for the response, I was thinking maybe they meant the paste would oxidize and flake or something (Imagine the cleanup if it blew all through the gun).
