you really need a bottoming tap if it's a blind...

you really need a bottoming tap if it's a blind hole. if you try grinding the tip off a plug tap it might be a pain to get it started in the hole. also, it might not cut the threads deep enough...

yeah, you're not gonna find one with a tighter barrel. they're all big. paint was larger in size back in the day. you can send it to someone like WALZ and have them put a small bore barrel on it.

the p-12 will have a centerfire bolt for sure. the only Sheridans that have rimfire bolts are the pg, pgp, pgp2 and the pursuit pistol. anything else will be centerfire.
