You could probably stick a reducer in the back ASA, and run some line to another ASA in the front of the stock, and that way you can have the air tank inside the stock like in the pic above.

Well, the air will rush down the barrel, but only when you shoot. It'll get extremely poor efficiency, but it should still shoot paintballs.

Definitely guilty of that. First time shooting mine without one, short stroked it and lodged a paintball halfway in the breech. Now I've got a QEV, and it's been smooth sailing ever since.
