Brass in pocket...

Does the TASO fast changer make this thing old? Dunno...

Never seen this before... if you look just left of centre, in the first slot there's an allen screw. That's the velocity adjuster. I'm very curious to see just how well it works. Great idea...

I almost crapped myself when I saw how this guy packaged it (wrapped it in some paper towels and padded the box with a few plastic bags!!! That's it!!!) but it survived the trip. I think I'm gonna polish it up nice an' purdy then maybe get a clearcoat over that so it stays nice and shiny all the time.

How does the velocity adjuster work? It looks to be in the wrong place to do anything.

As for the bad packaging - I hear you. I've received some scarily packaged stuff myself (you have to wonder what the sender was thinking).

If I'm not mistaken the V/A was an aftermarket part. The way it works is there is a ball bearing in the bore of the hammer, and the screw out the side has a taper to it. When you turn the screw in the ball gets pushed backwards and increasing the spring tension. Which in turns keeps the valve open longer.

That is all correct. These velocity adjusters work but don't seem to offer the same range of adjustability as the rear velocity adjusters do.

The adjustable bolts have a small range of adjustment, but are unusual and collectible. Peter
