Regarding the thread sizings: #5/8-18UNF from the valve chamber to the center piece #1/2-20UNF from center piece to piercing block Could someone confirm this? The #1/2-20 is the closest thread I can find, but it seems slightly loose. Thanks! |

I have always had luck just soaking it in really hot soapy water, then useing a wooden dowel and a hammer to drive it out.

The only thing holding in a cart valve is the one screw (front grip frame) and 2 orings on the valve assembly. I use the dowel trick as well (I have some lengths of small PVC pipe for the task). Just beat it out of there.
