Piranha LB question

I just picked one up and its in great condition, battle grips and all.

But it had been spray painted a camo color, I stripped all the paint off and don't mind the polished brass look but want a darker color, something close orignal. My plan is to use blue-ing(sp?) for guns. Would it be ok to blue brass? I've only used it on my rifle barrels and wanna ask before I take any chance of ruining such a nice gun.

Thanks in advance.

George

You got that camo one with stock an Constant Air off ebay didnt ya?

Im not real sure of you could use bluing(sp?) on brass... I know you could send it to Palmers pursuit and have them, make it black. they actually have severl methods of doing so.

Cold bluing for steel isn't for brass...There is a brass blackener that will look something like the original finish. You might also give it a light rub with vinegar (rinsing with water afterward) for a nice patina'd look.

Catchya on the Flip Side.....

yeah I found that out after a about two hours worth of searching google. but the bluing works and looks great for the steal pump arm.

Will try the viniger on a small section tomorrow.

Thanks

I Got That One Off Of Ebay. Great Gun, Solid Body. Has A Small Leak Behind The Plug, Behind Valve, Where The 12 Gram Would Go. I 'm Thinking The Epoxy Is Brittle And Its Leaking. I'm Also Wondering If I Could Put Some More Epoxy In That Hole To Plug Up Air Leak. What Do Ya'll Think. Thanks For Imput..
