Thanks.. She's a major keeper !!! That long stock is going to wind up going on to a Lever action gun... I'm going to try to build the lever myself... After inspecting a BretG masterpiece I think I can handle it...

I think it would be a waste of sorts to put a lever in that long stock. First of all, a lever action is one of the few K-based gun designs that actually benefits from the cut-outs in the new Blue Streak stocks. There are a lot of other cool stock types out there that are basically unusable for KP's (as-is) because of the dramatic cut outs for modular trigger groups to protrude through. Lever actions love stocks like that. Secondly, the pistol grip on that BB stock has a much steeper pistol grip than you want on a lever action. A gun with an elegant grip like that should not be cluttered up with a lever, even if you CAN find one that will meet the depth and curve of that stock. Again, about the best thing I could suggest would be a long-barreled bolt-action like mine. A new Blue Streak stock has a much shallower pistol grip and is ideal for a lever. As stated, I would save the long stock for a Hurc or a bolt-action. Something that is going to allow you to keep as much of that pretty stock intact as possible. If you can figure out a lever, then building yourself a bolt-action ought to be a piece of cake. Just my .02 Good luck and nice wood. D Last edited by Drum; 05-06-2007 at 01:44 PM. |

Drum's right my grip angle is a bit steeper than Sheridans'..it also has a longer grip and it's more curved..a lever might look goofy in it.? I can always make another..and I have a KL here now! talk to ya, p.s. my bluestreak..bye bye birdy ![]() Last edited by Brassballs; 05-07-2007 at 04:49 PM. |

I've always been a Body Count type of player!!!!! Hey how many pump's have you gone up to with the BS.. I've only tried seven, I heard they go BOOM with any more... The SilverStreak doesn't see over 4 or 5... It's only 50 years old
