the face seal goes in the tip of the steel chamber plug. that's the seal that touches the tip of the 12 gram.

I know the tutorial say to use a valve punch tool, but is there something else that's just as effective that I might have? If not, where can I get a valve punch tool?

Jake, you can use a empty 12g. to punch out(a hammer and some type of rod also will be also be needed) the internals after you remove the valve nut.

OK guys, I tried using a 12g, valve tool, and hammer. I couldn't get the chamber plug out. Any suggestions?

take the 12 gram and rod and hit it with the hammer to break it loose. the 12 gram and rod will only move about a 1/2"(so don't try to make it go any further because it can't and you risk damaging the gun). after you get it to break loose, take the 12 gram out and get a smaller in diameter wooden dowel and put it in there and hit the plug the rest of the way out. the smaller rod can't be larger than a 1/2" in diameter and a rod just a tad bit smaller than 1/2" works best. i only use wooden dowels because it won't hurt the insides of the gun.

You dont need the punch tool. Instead you are going to use the empty 12 gram. Once you remove the square nut (you need a special tool for this)you slide your empty 12 gram down the front and give it a smack. All the valve guns should dump out the back. Make sure you dont try to push the 12 gram all the way down the tube.

If you need pics let me know.

No matter how hard I tap/push, it won't come out. This is getting frustrating.
