P68-SC Help

I just got it recently and when I gassed it up, it leaked all the air out of the trigger frame. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Sounds like the seal for the 12gram is bad or missing.

pps sells kits ($20) and tools ($15 or so) and the internals arent all that complicated, i know people have posted pics in the gallery on parts breakdown, or if you'd rather, you can send it out...im doing this same seal swap for another member, on his pgp...

Any links to those breakdowns? I searched for "p68 breakdown" and came up with nothing.

first, you need to make sure you know what type of valve you have in it. the p68sc could have either type of valve... the old style valve or a cartridge valve. the cartridge vale doesn't require a valve tool to take it out. the old style valve has a special square nut that holds it in and you have to have a special tool to remove it to get to the seal that you need to replace.

to find out which style valve you have, take out the rear plug on the bottom tube, remove the hammer and spring and look inside to see if there is a square nut or not. if there is no square nut, take out the front screw in the grip frame(be carefull not to lose the small spring and ball bearing fro the safety when removing the grip frame) and remove the frame. after that, take a wooden dowel rod and push out the valve. then you can replace the seal.

if there is a square nut, you'll need the tool. i'll explain that removal process if you need me to...

It's the old style valve.

read over this link first and if you have any questions post them. this link shows a pgp, but it's the same thing/process for a p68sc.
