Update:

I got a chance to really shoot this KP2 yesterday evening. I shot about 200 balls through it and the bolt seems to be settling some. I think it needed to be broken in (it was new when I received it). The sliding section will almost completely close and lock in now.

The bolt air port seems to be lining up well also. I got 31-32 usable shots from each 12g, so efficiency looks good.

After about 200 more rounds of paint this bolt has appeared to have completely settled. The action is very smooth and fluid. The locking mechanism within the bolt fully closes with ease and the bearings lock into the barrel holes.

My conclusion is that this bolt needed to be cycled around 450-500 times to fully break it in to my KP2. I also liberally oiled the sliding mechanism within the bolt several times during this break in period.

Thanks to the KP gurus on here that chimed in to help. I will post picture when I get some time to test out my new camera.
