Valve tool question.

Does a Sheridan valve tool such as this: Palmers Pursuit Shop
fit all Sheridan valves?
I have a VM-68 & a PGP (old style valve) & I want to know If I need seperate valve tools or just one.
Thanks.

You will need two! The one your talking about will fit all the older Sheridan pumps but will not work on the VM/PMI3's. If you ask around here someone should have a VM valve tool they would sell..

My understanding is there are two ends to both tools, one end is used to unscrew the retaining nut & one to thread into the valve & pull it out.

Are both ends different or only the threaded end? If it's just the threaded portion I'm sure I can get a long bolt in the correct threads from a hardware store.

i can't comment on the VM tool, but the tool for the Sheridan pump guns has a female thread in the end of it so a bolt will not work to pull the valve.

Like C6 said the Pump valve tool has the square end and a female threaded end while the VM tool just has a male threaded end to remove/turn the valve!
