Schmitti....I'd be more than willing to re-do the pics. Can we just drop my new pics in with the old text from the original post?

I'm not even sure which post it is... but yeah we could edit it to include the new pics. If you email them to me I can post them in there.

Thats the one. Maybe we can include the Gramps and grizzly video and the magazine scans as well.

edit:

Heres the scans(maybe we should rehost them, since they are on image shack)

chemist- Not sure who did the work came out of the box like that. My field owner asked me if I was interested in a pump because he had two of these($130.00 each), then for years after when I would use it he would always say he wished he had got more of them.
Schmitti- I think it is a blockage of some type as well. The gun worked well and when I first got compressed air I tried it velocity did drop but was able to get it up with a spring shim. Then one day outa the blue it is way low under 200fps even with co2 on a hot day 220 max. Tried more shims heavier springs Cleaning oiling. Only thing left is to take out the valve. I just thought I should try to get liquid Co2 into the valve by holding it up side down, if it shoots hot after it expands then the block is in front of the valve (yes/no)?Or at least I know every thing after the valve is fine then .

Also is this the RVA you are talking about? And it replaces my mainspring retaining cap or what? And if it does how does it adjust the velocity by compressing the spring?

Lowtek... if you can get liquid in the valve and get a good shot, then yes, you probably have some gunk in the path between the adapter and the valve. Could even be a piece of teflon tape.

And the RVa is the one you want. That silver piece in the back is a long grub screw that you screw in to put more pre-load on the main spring for increased velocity or back out for less pre-load and lower velocity.

They are very well made and make sheridans more usable.

All the ones that serial number start with a Pxxxxxx need a valve tool.
The ones that start with PAxxxxxx are cartridge valves and dont need a valve tool.
