Leaking sheridan

I have an old pmi/ sheridan 68 magnum. Its leaking a whole lot. When I screw in the tank, it just blows right out the barrel, i believe. Any help with this would be great.

The valve being stuck open? Have you tried cocking it back once the tank is screwed on? Co2 or air? When was the last time you took her apart and checked all the orings?

^yep, what he said. you could try putting a good amount of oil in the ASA. then try it and cock and shoot it repeatily. that may or may not work. in fact it probably won't fix it. lol... but it's worth a try.

worst case senerio is to rebuild the valve.

take the thing apart and check that all the seals are intact. It's probably the cup seal, as stated.

I tried putting oil in it and it did not work. I tried cocking it and it still leaks, Im some what new to sheridans so i dont know where all the orings should be. I think i do need to rebuild the valve beacuse the gun was all in pieces and dirty when I bought it. Anyone knoe where i could get a valve rebuild kit. I know palmers has one, but anyone know of another place?

AmericanPaintball has a crapload of old Sheridan parts. They're usually cheaper than PPS too, especially on shipping.
