KP Help! Please Read!

Alright so i recently bought my first KP, restored it to the way I want.
It was shooting fine all week, shot fine last night, shot fine when I chronoed this morning.

Went to play the first game today and I have a slow leak and Im not getting shots to go further than 3 ft... O and now I am almost out of 12ies so I cant keep testing it.

I have absolutely no idea whats wrong, the Oring around the pierce pin is still there, and the pierce pin looks fine.

On top of all of this I have a big game to play tomorrow and no gun to use, so please MCB gun gurus, help me troubleshoot my gun!

So you rebuilt the internals correct, and it was working fine? Did you oil it in between playing?

Something similar has happened to me when the mainspring gets kinked up. Are you able to fully cock the marker?

There are only so many things that could be wrong since it was working before. There was someone who had an issue recently, where a piece of the 12ie got lodged between the cupseal and valve, so maybe look there.

i agree with the chemist, possible mainspring kink, do you have a spring guide in there? cut down ten penny nail works in a pinch... did you replace your piercer face seal? i've had issues with them 'flattening out' when they get older, closing off the top of the 12vie enough that when the piercer comes it it seals it rather than allowing air through...

I think it was leeking from behind the pierce pin and infront of the valve... and venting down the tube.

I think I may have fixed it, the little pin in front of the valve that holds the nug in which you attach the stock to was sticking up in a weird way, I turned it hopefully fixing the issue.

Alas I have to wait for tomorrow because I am out of 12ies

Why Velcor? Why?

Hammer pressing on the pin valve from too much main spring pre load can cause the valve to stay open.
Reduce main spring tension will lower velocity but will stop leak.

Debris in the valve chamber can also cause the valve to close.
Clean it.

Bad orings cause leaks.
Replace.

Loose valve retaining nut can loosen the entire valve causing it to leak.
Tighten it down.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
