PGP Lead Seal

So I've been reading a few threads on non-cartridge PGP valves and a few people have been saying to leave the lead seal out when reassembling. Why is this? Is it a good thing? Bad thing? Indifferent thing? My valve tool is coming in tomorrow so I'm about to start the wonderful process of rebuilding the valve and that's why I'm asking. Any tips advice or help?

It's a damn near useless seal, because during the shot cycle there is an easy exit for the air down the barrel, and the rest of the time it isn't exposed to pressure.

That and more often than not, when you remove the lead seal, it gets deformed so you need a new one to put back in each time.

I take every lead seal out and it immediately goes into the garbage. I actually emptied my paintball can yesterday and found a bundle of them at the bottom.

HOWEVER....if you're dead set on putting the lead seal back in (totally pointless), I have some mint ones that came as part of a purchase awhile back. I could spare one.....since I'll never use them.

Long Beard, I would venture to say you think the lead seal is pointless hahaha

My tool comes in today so I will be rebuilding my PGP today and with what you guys have said the lead seal will be in the trash. Thanks for the help.
