If I'm reading correctly, you are asking if you need a longer pump rod? You can do two things. 1) Get a longer pump rod. Buy the rod at your local hardware store and die the one end for the pump handle and the other end bend it for your bolt (Assuming you have the stock bolt 2) Mill the pump handle so it clears it. |

Making a new rod is probably within my means. I think that's what I'll do. Thanks for the help guys ! |

All righty! Here is what I have so far. The rod in my KP is smaller than the quicksilver. I'm thinking I can take a piece of all thread and make me a custom length rod to fit and join them with a 1/2 inch long nut. See what you guys think. all thread is definitely the way to go, give me a sec and ill snap a pic of mine to show you how i set it up. edit: here you go.... ![]() Uploaded with ImageShack.us both my quicksilver and yours were apparently made for a squall or something, hence the length. as you can see I replaced the nut below the washer with a threaded coupler that gave me the extra length to then just cut a piece of threaded rod to size and attach it. its easily convertible back.

Your quicksilver is definitely not kp length. Like wrongblock said, get a coupler and threaded rod. Make it to length and you're golden. While you have the quicksilver out, you might want to clean it up a bit. Looks kinda rusty. |
