kp-3 dimensions help?

I want to make a shorter barrel kp3, cause when I play woods there is generally a lot of urban terrain... anyone know the leangth of the lower tube?

Other random question, could a p-style upper tube be fitted to a k-series lower tube?

Instead of cutting up a nice k-series, you could do a KPMI conversion on a PMI-DF. It is like a PMI-1 but with a hopper instead of a ten round feed.

Its easier for me to just do a true kp lower than buy the componants plus a p series marker. And I'm using a kp3 cause they're the least collectable, and I'm recycleing the kp3's barrel for a different project.

KP-3 lower tube is 13 3/8 inches long.

I do agree with doing a PMI conversion also, but do what you must.
PMI-1 DFs are much less collectable than even KP-3s.

I agree as well. I'm sure someone on here would trade you for your KP3. It would be worth a shot in the WTB forum.

Doesn't a kp have a longer hammer spring though for a smoother stroke?

So, after much consideration... It is looking like I'm getting one of those very nice WALZ feed systems... in purple. haha. Of course, that means that if I'm gonna use FS rounds, I can't be changing the KP to a smaller bore barrel. So only removing the feed neck... Still gonna build a P-series pistol outa the tight bore barrel stock though. (but for that I'm just cutting up a poor condition PGP, so nothing much lost there.)
