Hi guys, new to posting on this forum although I've been visiting it for awhile. Ok, I have a customers PGP2, when it came to me it had a ton of issues such as, firing randomly, leaking co2, shooting very low speed, and so on. When I tore it down (with help from this forum) I found that the pin in the valve was broke in two and it needed orings of course. I ordered new parts from Palmers for the valve and such, rebuilt it and now the only issue is the low velocity. Any ideas/suggestions on this part? I have played with the spring in the adjuster (but I'll still take any suggestions) and also the tubes on it are as clean as a whistle and lubed. Thanks for the help guys |

Paintball to barrel bore match? How much light around ball? Rear velocity adjuster on main spring?

Sounds like a weak main spring. Have you tried adding a ball bearing? Spring, Hammer, Pistol [SHER016] - $4.00 : Palmers Pursuit Shop, Where Custom Still Means Something

I remember hearing some folks had issues where the RVA assembly screws too far into the body, interfering with the hammer. Try backing the RVA assembly (not just the rva screw) out slightly.

Over compressing the main spring?

Does the sear click twice when you cock it or just once?

Use a weaker valve spring, cut a cocker/nelson valve spring down to the right length. Try backing the RVA out one turn as previously stated. Make sure the cartridge valve exhaust pot is pointing up. Just some ideas...

Hey guys I appreciate all the feed back, hopefully within the next couple of days I can get back in the shop and give some of these things a try. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks for all the help so far.
