Leaking KP2

Hi people, I need some advice, recently got my KP2 running (sort of). MaD sent me a pierce pin (thanks dude) now when I fire it the 12gm punctures but it just bleeds air. What have I done wrong? The new face seals I have had to be trimmed to fit n the front of the valve, or did I do the wrong thing... Help please I am trying to get it ready for my mates 30th birthday at our local field.

The face seals shouldn't need trimmed. They're big for the outer diameter of the fitting but they bend into the inner so they fit flush with the outsides. When the 12 gram just dumps my first thought is face seal....and because you said you trimmed it....it makes me really wonder if that's not your problem.

Did you change out the valve seal as well? Sometimes if you don't get that to sit down just right, it can pinch a little when you're screwing the valve back in.

Where does the air bleed? Down the barrel? Or lower valve tube?

Air bleeds out the bottom tube, and the face seals were quite a bit bigger than the valve, couldn't get them to fit at all

Is it this one ? You got to bend it over a little to make it sit in its place.

I also got to tighten the 12ie very well when you're screwing back the plug and rod. Not enough and it leaks.

The face seals I cut are the same size as the factory replacements but are a bit harder so they're not quite as friendly to get in. The chamber plug tip also has a nasty contour to it so it makes it a bit of a pain. I usually bend it and work in one side then use a spent 12g to push them in / seat them. You also need to insure that the old one is completely cleaned out of there or it won't seal right.

There are only a few seals in the valve assembly. If you have them in properly it shouldn't leak. Check the sticky to make sure you have the seals in properly.

Thanks, I managed to fix the face seal problem. Now the lug on the bolt that charges the marker is damaged and needs to come out....

He might be refering to the cocking lug on the bolt.
