The small stock changer is a waste of time and energy.

As for efficiency.
Paint size is the first and simplest thing to do to make it better. Sheridans are big big bore by design. Hopefully the paint you have is large. If it's on the small size, efficiency is going to suck anyways.

Some options to make the efficiency better, but going to cost a chunk of change.
-Send to palmer's for performance tune up
-Send to Walz/Stuffy/chlpnstone for valve modifications
-Buy a magical cooper t bolt
-rebarrel the kp into a smaller bore size

Pull the top tube off, enlarge the transfer port, enlarge the valve transfer hole, swap out to a dyna valve, and then put the top tube back on.

How many shots out of a 12 gram are you planning to achieve from a 12 gram?

Follow senghing's advice. My palmerized kp2 gets around 30 shots at 260 fps with a decent paint to barrel match before they start dropping off.
