KP3 : fair price ?

An friend of mine, who played in the old days, has dug out his
KP3 and agreed to sell it it to me. He has been out of the game for some time and has no idea what it's worth. I want to be fair and not take advantage of the situation but I don't want to over pay either.
It will be my first KP, although my herd has 5 other P series Sheridans in it.
I am aware of some Ebay types paying upwards of $700 for rare ones but I think that's not the norm. The condition is "used" and everything is in place, no modifications.
Anyone?

I'd say between $300 and $400 is a fair price for a functioning KP-3 based up a condition of good to excellent. Pristine might be worth over $400 but that's pushing it, in my book. Those $700 guns are usually excellent to pristine KP2's.

$300-$400 is the fair going price, shoot for $350 or so? Any idea if she works?

I haven't held it or gassed it yet, he's bringing it over this weekend.
We tossed around $250 just off the cuff, so if he's happy with that, I'll be real happy.
Thanks guys, I'll update later.

Grab it for $250, and if you ever want to make $5 profit, just send me a PM.

Wow Mister! 5 dollars!............I'm just stoked that I finally found one. You always hear the stories like "I picked up 3 of 'em at an estate sale for $30" or "the guy used to have a field and gave them all away".
Drives you nuts.
Oh here's a good one! So and so at F**g Ra***rs in Cambridge has 24 KP's stashed away, but he won't sell them or even say where they are.
I'm in Canada so shipping anything that looks like a firearm is risky to say the least.
Anyway, I'm out.

And I heard stories years ago about how the Canadian Military dumped a bunch of paintball guns in a lake... except no one knows where the lake is.

Check at the Chatterbox Cafe. Some Norwegian bachelor farmer fished them out.
I heard another one about "dude took all the brass off 20 or 30 KP's and sold it for scrap".
There's a million KP stories out there.
