You should be able to modify the palmers feedgate to work. You just need to drill a place for the small tab to protrude into the feedtube.

Cut a piece of copper so that it will slide back and forth, then drill a 3/4 hole to feed the paint. Use a small set screw for the pin. Solder in or secure a plug in the back.
