PGP 2 Tips and questions

I was looking to get a pgp and this is the one I had my eye on The seller, a fellow member on MCB, has it posted for 100$, I don't know if it is still an on-going sale, it is about 20 days old but it doesn't state that it's sold. And on to the questions....

How practical is a pgp in real play? I mean I have my T2 as my main pump and I'm really getting into pump, but I wanna get a pgp for recball and just fun weekend use. Regular open class pump is an extreme blast as it is, but I can see myself having a ton more fun with the PGP. Does the non-removable barrel (forgot the term for it) hinder it any? I've held multiple PGP's and a few of em had a very rough finish on the inside of the barrel. Does this mess with the accuracy as the paint might rub up against that rough part and put a spin on itself? Also, does anyone know of a holster that fits the pgp? And don't tell me to mod it to take autococker barrels like some people have done, I have no interest in doing this and would like to keep it as it is. Any help from the brass users here are welcome. Thanks!

I'm actually looking at getting a PGP also but I am shooting for an original and not a 2. I shoot a Phantom and a T8.1 and for some reason these have my attention now.

From what I see they can go for as little as $50ish up to $100+, so this may not be a bad deal.

Hopefully someone will chime in and fill us both in.

anyways, I've had 2 of these, and wound up selling them both. stock pgp bore is .690, which is often too large for today's small paint. this means horrible efficiency, and low velocity. with a well tuned pgp, you're looking at a max of around 25ish shots before you're done with that 12ie.

i believe that a member on here can make a leather holster for you (butch?).

25 shots, that's not that bad. Also, what do you mean by well tuned pgp. How do you go about tuning a pgp? Does that guy still freak bore pgp barrels? Forgot his name sorry. Was something like sergio?

springing, rva, good paint to bore match. I'm not a fan of brass, so my knowledge is limited as far as all of this goes.

RVA stands for rear velocity adjuster, correct? DOn't pgp 2's already have an rva? Also, on palmers pursuit shop, they have these things called wedgits. I have to send in the pgp to them right?

I have 4 and love them!
Both original and the newer version.
All stock barrels, shoot all kinds of paint and off of my PGP2 I can usually squeeze out 35 shots at 270ish (never chrono'd to confirm but that many shots were useable).

They are great little guns and shoot great.
Fun to run around with.

When I am playing against a group of renters its my go to gun.
This is the one I use the most.

the pgp2 does have an Rear Velocity Adjuster.

and yes, you would have to send it to them. they essentially put a small bump in your barrel to prevent rollouts. from my experience, doesn't help as much as having a properly matched barrel.

Correct, PGP2's have an RVA.
Wedgits are little dents in the barrel tube to prevent roll outs. and yes, you have to send your gun into them to do.
Lots of guys on here re-barrel brass guns if you ever decide to change the bore size. Couple of people currently chatting about freak boring PGP's (can get pricey).
