PMI II LB questions

I have a few questions about my new brass marker.
First one is what is the standard bore diameter for these? I read somewhere that they are .690, but mine measures .687.

And there are no markings on the barrel. My PMI II sb has markings, but this one has nothing. Is it possible someone changed out the barrel tube?

The marker works great, but I am such a newb to these brass guns that I feeel I have to ask questions.

Thanks Guys

Not all guns were marked the same. Pics would help quite a bit.

Looks like a bone stock LB to me. I'm not clear on the transition to the PMI branding / gun markings but I know I've had marked and unmarked versions of the same gun. What's actually stamped under the air line?

As far as the barrel goes, there seems to be a bit of contradiction. Quite a few folks have said the factory bore was .690. Stuffy and some others have said .686 (which would explain your measurement). I have owned quite a few but honestly rarely check the bore. I do have quite a few bodies around from different eras so I might measure a few. I suspect they might have actually used both during different periods.

Some may have been honed as well, as that was marketed as a aftermarket upgrade back in the day.

Don't forget about all the flex-hones sold during the 90s.
This could explain many of the large bore brass out there.

I think it just pre-dates the PMI markings. Some racine guns did also have PMI markings. Not sure when the switch to Bloomfield, NY was but was quite a bit later I think. I just looked at a SB and LB body I have (the LB pretty much identical to yours) and neither one of those has barrel markings either. Pretty sure yours is just factory stock.

the pump handle looks off for a LB, it could be a cut down P68 AT.
.686" is what most Sheridans were stock, what color is the inside of the barrel ?
how far does the barrel hang over the lower tube ?

Good catch Smiley. The pump handle is off an sb. Thanks everyone for all the help. Now for a new set of wood grips and to the field.
