Price Check on the Brass Aisle

Guy at my local field is selling at P68SC. Excellent condition (not even any lower tube pump handle scratching), 100% stock. Asking $85.

Is that a screaming, "take it and run" deal?
A good deal?
A fair deal?
A "okay, but try to talk him down a bit" deal?

Well, the funny part is that I do REALLY want it...I've wanted one since college. So I'm trying my best to stay stoic in our texts so he doesn't figure out that I'd pay more. I'm also trying to not let on that I know what it is, 'cause he doesn't sound like he does. Described it as "Some old pump that says Sheridan on the side" when he told me about it.

I'm going to offer him $70 and see what he says...but I'll have $15 more in my other pocket to avoid letting it get away.

If it's as nice as you say, even at 85, you're good to go. You could sell it here and make a profit if you really didn't need it....but you said you wanted one so, go for it.

He's [tentatively] agreed to $75. Meeting to pick it up this evening after work.

Yeah, thats what I thought. Then I had a NICE one for sale here with an L stock, was perfect. Had it listed for $130 shipped. Had no real bites. Sold the L stock and kept the p68sc and used it for trade barter.
