Dusty Sheridan PGPs/ First post
I recently dug out two forgotten Sheridan PGPs that were left in a box for 23 years. The guns were purchased by my dad and used on fields near Los Angeles, CA in the mid to late '80s.
One is bone stock with beautiful patina and marked with Seridan and Pursuit Marketing stamps. The other was modified and marked with the Sheridan stamp only. (pics later)
The stock gun is the only paintball gun I have ever used. At 12 years old Dad took me to a field in Corona, CA to play "capture the flag" with the "Brain Dead Mercenaries". Later, during my high school years, I marked many a friend in outlaw games around North County San Diego. After that both guns went into storage. Then I watched the sport explode and I stayed away; unwilling to join the arms race.
The modified gun has an early CA system done by an unknown smith in the L.A. area. It has a 38 gram steel tank mounted to a steel stock and a side line in 1/8th NPT with shut off. ..it's heavy! The tank has a brass, screw in type, pierced cap system and it is stamped 1978!
After rediscovering these fine pieces of paintball history, I found MCB while looking for parts. I was surprised to find so much enthusiasm for the old brass guns. It's exciting that there are "stock class" games being played. Old school. Cool.
Plans are to refresh both guns and configure the modified to a "stock class" set up.*The information in the forums has been most helpful. Thanks to all who contribute.
P.s. Chime in with any information to help fill in my story.

WOW!!!! Super old school. Love it. The tank stock set up....never seen anything like it. I'd bet that it's a custom deal from back in the day. Lots of players in that era made their own custom set-ups. Custom feeds, Custom air adapters etc. I mean just looking at the stock itself, it's just some bar welded together with loops to hold the tank....even a mom and pop company would've made something a bit smoother than that. I'm not saying it wasn't done by a shop, but I haven't seen anything by any of the "major" shops like this.
This is a very cool find in the closet of some era pieces.
