KP leakage

I have a KP2-DF that has started to leak down the barrel. This KP is a constant air setup and it seems the leak is quieter when the pump handle is all the way back, when it is all the way forward it is quite loud. I put some oil in the line and it stopped the leak for a couple dozen shots, but then it came back.

Does anyone know what might cause this?

Extra credit question. I have another KP that, with c02 attached would do nothing when pumped and fired, no noise, no leak, nothing. Now, I removed the bolt and noticed that it had no o-rings on it, would this cause the gun to do nothing? Or is it a bad valve?

On the first one, bad cup seal and/or valve spring. You will need a valve tool to access it.

On the second one, when you say Co2 attached, is that constant air or 12g.

For the second one, the bolt o-rings should have nothing to do with the actual function of the gun other than you would probably have more blow-by on the bolt. It would still work, you just wouldn't get as many shots.

Alright thanks guys, the second one was with constant air, it's really strange, almost like there's a blockage not letting any gas through.

The valve is not side tapped, the CA gas line goes through the front of the lower tube.

dissconnect the air line from the front, take the adapter out and see if you can blow air through it. Then get a small flash light and look down the lower tube to check out the 12g seal that is still supposed to be there. I have seen this seal block the air passage before, but it will usely leak out the bottom when that happens. But do it anyway, as you will need to take this thing apart anyway since it is not working.

Do you have a valve tool?

I do have a valve tool, any tips for removing the airline from the front without scratching the crap out of the barrel/tube? That sucker is really on there!

is it an older asa? Check that the pin isn't missing or worn down, or try another asa.
