School me on working on Brass.

Hey guys,

I'm doing some custom mods right now to my first brass gun, a PGP2.

So far I've removed the top tube, but I would like to re-attach it in Phantom format, and strip all the paint, and then polish it.

Can anyone give me a list of the essential brass-workers tools?

The best thing I have found to get the paint off is airplane parts cleaner and steel wool. I tried a acetone bath and that didnt work well. As for the tubes idk about reattaching them. Here is a pic of my pgp I did with airplane stripper.

Thats exactly what I want to do. I asked Skibbo what parts he used on the feed tube already. Really I'm just looking for a list of items I'll need to work on brass. So far I have:

Blowtorch
Solder
Airplane parts cleaner
steel wool
Pipe clamps
Patience

I am tremendously terrible at hot work, so this is all a learning experience for me.

Also, where abouts would I get paint stripper that is 'aircraft grade'?

Would I be ok using regular paint stripper?
