Feed system idea

So just got a new KP-3 in, but the feedneck was replaced with a feed off a 68 magnum. Feedneck's loose so I was thinking about getting a new feed system. I'd actually prefer a spring-fed over a DF, and I happened to have a couple of the Spec-Ops longbow mags lying around and got to thinking. Do you think it'd be possible to mount a rail around the slot in the body to accept the reciever for the Specops mags?

Pics are kind of crappy, but you can see how the reciever mounts on a rail, directly over the slot for the feedneck.

I'm sure you could with the right tools. I do not know how many slots that feed uses, but you could mill down a very small rail, small enough to mount the feed, and solder it onto the barrel tube.

It would be a cool mod. Hell, if you had the means of making the mini-picatinny rail out of brass that would be even more badass. You will definitely need a detent though. Spring feeds need them to function properly.

ive thought the same thing, perhaps utilizing a top rail and the traccerr feedneck/springfeed

I just realized though that I'd need a new barrel, the spring feed is about two inches longer than the stock barrel, looks weird.

The traccerr springfeed would work though. Plus has the advantage of being offset
