Questions about PGP restoration
I have recently sold my stock class phantom (with a pang of regret) and I can't rid myself of the paintball obsession.
I have an old PGP that needs new puncture pin and valve seals. I'm looking to restore it and use as my main gun.
My questions are:
1. I want to keep it as original as possible but I am concerned with the new small bore paint. Is there a solution? Or just keep the barrel pointed to the sky until ready to fire?
2. Any suggestions for place to buy parts?
3. Any suggested modifications?
Any comments would be appreciated.

There's no real way around the rollout issue short of sending the marker to PPS for wedgits. I think it's money well spent, especially for a primary marker, but your mileage may vary. Actually, if this is going to be your primary, I'd say see if you can get a P68SC or PMI-1 instead as the longer barrel helps a bit with accuracy/efficiency (the PGP's control bore is sub six inches if I remember correctly).
I'm assuming an old, non-cartridge valve PGP? The list of mods changes depending on which version you have .

I'd strongly suggest sending it to Palmer's to get the aforementioned Wedgits, along with a quick strip slot for ease of bolt removal, and their Performance Tune which will just about double the number of shots per 12g.
The Fasst Changer for quick 12g changes and the Speed Feeder doohickey for easy paint reloading are nice as well.
(I'm not sponsored by PPS in case you're wondering)

or just have it rebarreled tighter, maybe .678, and longer as well... but for now maybe just a longer pump rod, pain in the *** to pump a pgp when the pump handle is so close to the grip frame...
