pgp build

So I'm trying to figure out how i want to build my pgp, IV thought about wood grips and handle then Polish it, then I have also thought about maybe building it to where it looks like something from fallout, I'm open to suggestions, it is just a regular pgp pistol

I'd say brass and wood is a pretty solid choice but I'd wait for one of the brass masters to chime in. Their collective creativity might have something different in mind. Good luck with the build

I always want to build something different and unique, but seeing as my funds are limited I may just build a simple nice shooting marker

The pgp I'm getting still has the coating on it, should I keep it or just Polish the brass

Depends on which finish you like more. The pgp's with the older oxide finish (rather than the painted one) are usually worth a bit more if the finish is still intact. However it is your gun so make it what you want it to be.

Some people freak about taking the coating off, especially if its still in damn good condition

The older coating especially, I dont' know where or how to have it re-done. It's unique and has its own kind of beauty. There are plenty of bodies with chewed-up finish if you want to polish one.

This is just my opinion.

Personal opinion, get the two most basic upgrades. Rear velocity adjuster and a fasst changer. Speed feed isn't really necessary, just make a plug leash. Play with it and get used to playing with it. (If you play with it exclusively, you're going to experience some drastic and fun changes in your play style). During this time, save up some money and decide what you want to get done, if anything.

K-frames and wood and stuff are cool, but not necessary in the long run. All I've got on mine is the previously mentioned upgrades and some electrical tape on the grips so it fits my hand better.

Also, leave the original finish or don't. It's YOURS. Keep the finish until it's totally ratted out if you want to start some fun conversations in the staging area.
