paintball guy 3 did an excellent job with this one, if you must do a vert air his method (pipe forward instead of pipe rear) looks like a neat & tidy way to do it.
Did a few like that. You have to make an internal piece to transfer the gas from the vertical adapter to the hard line. It's not rocket science but they can be a bit of a pain to get sealed.

chplnstone, thanks for the link. I like PBG3's way of tackling the vert ASA but I'd rather have it internal. I think Ill just have to machine a part that'll fit in the lower tube like you are saying MaD. Ive got an idea of what i think i can do, but i wont know until i get the gun apart and unfortunately tools are limited in the apartment.

Thanks for the help so far everyone. Ill probably need it later as well.

You can't do it internal unless you gut the lower tube.. meaning... there's a solid wall in front of the valve that you would need to get out. Honestly the conversion is a bit easier on a 12g based sheridan.

Either way you need a solid piece inside of the lower tube to thread the VA into. On a 12g conversion this could just be a dummy 12g. On a CA gun like you have, you will have to figure out how to get air into the valve chamber. Easiest and most reliable way is to route it externally. If you wanted to try internal the best bet would be to get a lower tube from a 12g based gun or just make everything from scratch.

Update:

Ok, got the bolt out and it has some corrosion and anything steel has rust. I'm gonna be tearing it down and polishing everything. I removed the valve as well and those parts will be polished as well. Does anyone know if there is a DIY to get the most out of the valve?
