Cartridge valve upgrade/mods

Question to any here that have modded cartridge valves. I am looking to throw a Dyna valve, or high flow type valve in my latest project. My question is, has anyone thrown a cocker valve into a Sheridan cartridge? Or used Cocker valve springs in one? the only Cocker type valve I have sitting around is from before they went to the late style spring, so I'm not sure if it's even relevant. It is slightly larger diameter and a little shorter. the diameter is easy to deal with, but I think the length may be an issue. The valve from my Sheridan has a 1.070" length from the seal face.

I do not understand you fully.

Why do you not will modify the cartridge valve? With smaller diameter ports from valve to chamber in frame (4,0-5,2mm = 0.157-0,201") he is more efficient than the old style valves and he can be modified do be nearly equally so good even with larger ports.

For the different valve you need have soldered sleeve in bottom tube.

Called Palmers today and per Craig, the Sheridan and Cocker Dynas are the same, unless a pierce pin is needed.

Hey buddy,

I cut the cocker/nelson springs down a little, green works good. You will get more consistent shots if its a little weaker than the stock one, too weak and you'll shoot high for the first couple shots.

What marker is it?

I noticed the wonderful and amazing Mr. Bacci had them at:

Cartridge valves - Sheridan Valves - Sheridan - Pump Parts - Parts

He says they're not complete: missing seals (email or message him to see if they're missing anything else). So I recommend the amazing and wonderful Short304 for the seals. That man has anything o-ring related, and phenomenal prices.

Hope this helps,

sounds good. I have short's complete gunsmith O-ring kit and an account with Dan. I was just wondering is there was a source of new valves. Then I just need to pick up the tubing for a scratch build.
