WALZ Black death-a freak barreled pistol build (Completed))

This one is going to need the light on to see it is so dark.
Started out as a pmi...
Added a freak barrel system and a brass a/c detent.
Re-ported transfer tubes and valve, bolt to .287 id.
Also added a adjustable quick change for the 12ies.
Added small site rail and will have small ghost ring when complete.
It is done up in fine texture black powdercoat and man is it dark.
Still need to do the pump arm, add a who-who to the bolt end and make a rva. And powdercoat the barrel end.
Shoots really nice with reballs and .679 insert. will give some paint a go...

Looks really great!

I do not like only the way how the ball detent is made (it it is the cocker detent what I see).

I will be curious how it shoots - with the .287" ID ransfer tube and .679" insert it looks for great performance / efficiency.

Your last freak used a pivoting arm and bolt to hold the barrel in place, but I don't see anything on this one. Is it just friction fit?

Figured out a fast easy way to lock barrel in place and I think you are going to like it.
Way faster to remove and install than a threaded barrel and is solid as a rock when locked in.
I am getting over 30 good shots with this set-up also.
Shot reballs with .679 insert and paint with .682 insert.
So sweet to be able to change the bore size on a sheridan..

It is going to have everything sheridans always needed..
A detent
quick easy changable bore sizes
lever action c02 changer w/dropout
A autotrigger
A ghost ring to aim with...
And of course some beefy battle grips to finish it off..
Did I miss anything?

Pics of barrel locking system..

Perfect!

One suggestion would be a barrel with a 7/8-20 threaded tip. Then one could go with lapco tips to louden or quiet the marker.

edit: thread size correction

Dun - Can I do this threading by hand.
I really do not have any machinery except a chop saw, drill press and of course my trusty dremel... and a whole slew of files....

Ooh I have no idea. I'm sure you could just buy a dye that size.
